Topic Type Management
As a Prize Staff participant, you have the ability to manage several different aspects of the Forum. You can add, edit, and delete forum topic types using the “Forum Topic Type Admin” page. Access this page at any time in the dashboard drop-down menu under “Prize Staff” and “Forum.”
Topic types are titles that divide the forum topics into general sections.
If you’re looking for a particular topic type, you can filter what posts are seen with the filter boxes at the top of any column. To change the order that the types are listed, click the titles at the top of any column.
Edit a Topic Type
To edit a topic type, click on the pencil icon to the left of the title in the record list. The topic type will expand into a box. Here, you can change or edit the topic type name in the title line. You can choose which prize the topic type will appear in by using the drop-down menu. When you’re finished, click the green check mark to save or the red “X” to cancel.
Delete a Topic Type
To delete a topic type, click the “X” to the right of the “Prize” column. When you click the “X”, a box will appear, asking you to confirm your decision. Click “Yes” to proceed or “No” to cancel.
Add a Topic Type
To add a topic type, click on “Add New Record” at the top of the record list box. A box will appear in the thread record list. Enter the title of your new type in the “Topic Type Name” box and select which prize you want the thread to appear under, using the drop-down topic menu. When you’re done, click the green check at the bottom of the box to post the topic or click on the red “X” to cancel.
